Friday Top Ten - Procrastination

I should be baking right now. Or Christmas shopping. Or cleaning. I just can't get myself going. It's amazing how many ways you can find to postpone doing things that you aren't super excited about. Which is weird because I actually do enjoy baking and shopping, I guess it's that I have to do them that makes them not so much fun. Cleaning, on the other hand, never fun. Here are the top ten things that have been distracting me:

1. Blogging. Always with the blogging. Neil says I am an addict. I resent that. Mostly because it's true.

2. Cutting my husband's hair. He was WAY overdue for a cut. It absolutely, positively had to be done tonight.

3. A nap. Sleep is very important.

4. Printing out more Christmas cards. Crap. I ordered Laser paper when we have an Inkjet. That's $25 down the drain and now I need to find more paper lickety split. Gotta cruise the internet to look for it.

5. Reading last week's Entertainment Weekly that somehow I haven't finished yet. Gotta get my Hollywood fix.

6. Organizing my craft shelves. Is it bad when you're avoiding work with work?

7. Play with Sophie. She NEEDS me to assist in 52 pickup.

8. Watch that episode of the Mentalist that has been sitting in the DVR for too long.

9. Find out how fast I type. (78 wpm)

10. Play with the present that I wasn't supposed to open until Christmas. Oops! Cat's out of the bag. I have no self control.

Now, I really do need to get to work. Have a great weekend!

  1. Cutest picture ever!

I'm distracted myself. But I had to laugh about cutting your husbands hair. I'm not 'allowed' to do that anymore. lol.

Good luck on those Christmas cards! Don't you have a office supply store around? I just got some 5x7 Kodak premium for $4.99 a pack. (pack of 25)

  2. Okay, I had to come back and tell you this one....I clicked on a sponsor...about socks. Do people actually PAY $48. DOLLARS for a THREE PACK of Juicy Coutour (sp?) socks? OMG, INSANITY! lol

  3. I keep meaning to ask...
Have you read last week's EW? The one with Kate and Leo on the cover? 'Cause girl, I fell in love with Stephen King & his most recent contribution to the mag. Go read it. You'll understand why...instantly.

Seriously, the man's a freaking genius. I liked him before, but after reading his Top 10 Movies of 2008, I want to make out with him. For real.

p.s. Cutest picture of Sophie ever...it looks as if she's screaming, "DO WORK!" (Ever watch Rob & Big?)

  6. You made me feel a little guilty myself as I sit here blogging {{again}} instead of all the things I should be doing. But I know if I get up to do them, I will just go take a nap with Summer, cause she is my daily excuse to catch up on sleep.

Oh..and it is Friday, so my People magazine will come in the mail today, so you can wipe out an hour there, cause you are right...I have to keep myself updated:)

  9. I completely understand the procrastination. I have to pack. For our trip. On Monday. Ah, the house looks like a tornado hit it. I have been putting it off.

See, you have it easy. Now get to it. And wish me luck!

  14. Love that pic. I had to pause with the concept of cutting hubby's hair. I briefly imagined, and then considered cutting my hubby's hair (as if he'd LET me), then I imagined what my Dear Husband would LOOK like if I dared to attempt to cut his hair. The whole thing made me giggle so much that I had start reading your post over again because I couldn't find my place to resume. Hee hee!
