- I was saved from a ticket yesterday by someone flashing their lights at oncoming traffic to warn us of a speed trap. I haven't seen that in a long time. A big thank you to that guy. Not that I was speeding. Nope, not me.
- My daughter deliberately kicked me in the teeth this morning as I was trying to clean up the Teddy Grahams she had dumped on the floorboard from her carseat. I had to count to ten and remember she's just a little thing, because that hurt like a sumbitch.
- Remember the TV that cost us almost $1K to fix last December? Yeah. It died. Rather than throw bad money after good attempting to fix it, AGAIN, we opted to get a new one. Of the LCD variety my husband has been ogling for some time now. Neil's dad went along to help select and transport the new TV. There's nothing like large electronics for a little male bonding.
- And about that new TV. We watched 2012 on it. The high density, ten bojillion pixels per inch didn't make it any less ridiculous. But holy crap is the picture awesome.
- The SITS Bloggy Boot Camp is this weekend. I am SO excited to finally see *in person* ladies that I have been reading and corresponding with for so long. Not to mention all of the new friends I know I'll make. It will be good times, indeed.
- Have you stopped in to BlogTrotting today?

Ooooo can't wait to hear how the bloggy camp goes!
ReplyDeleteThat sucks about your tv. Ughhhh.
I am a flasher...of lights, I mean...I just believe in it and think it's BS when people don't do it! The kick in the teeth...yikes. Mine have been testing their boundaries in a major way too...hitting Mommy. Is everyone in the world going to this Boot Camp? I'm sorta jealous!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the kicking of teeth. Azita has been kicking me a lot lately. Generally in the head and neck area and usually while changing her diaper. And she laughs after she does it. Not amusing. Roger thinks there is a market for mommy helmets. I kind of agree.
ReplyDeleteKinda gives new meaning to "Ain't that a kick in the teeth?" doesn't it? Because it is - or was.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm glad you remembered to count to 10. My boys could disappear before I got to three.
I'm sure your husband is grinnin' ear to ear watching his new TV! Did he have to get a fancy "surround sound" system to go with it? That's how my husband would like to roll!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been kicked in the teeth yet, but popped in the nose . . . hundreds of times, it fees like.
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun this weekend!
Um, "feels" like. Why do I never preview comments?
ReplyDeleteWell, that answers my email question to you; I was asking about bloggy boot camp. Have fun! Wish I could be there...if only there were limitless funds in our household, I would hop on a plane and be right there while the nanny took care of the kids and the housekeeper took care of the house and the hired help took care of Joe.
ReplyDeletesigh.
I'll just have to live vicariously through your experience for now. Maybe next year...
(Sucks about the TV, but I'll bet Neil is one happy guy :)
Allia is going through a "rough" stage as well. She will just randomly, punch, scratch or kick me or Daddy (usually Daddy). Not every day, just once in a while. It makes me sad, but I guess it is normal for their age.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I bet that did hurt.
ReplyDeleteWe just got 2012 from Netflix but haven't watched it yet. And I'm totally hating that I won't be there this weekend. Boo!
Can't wait to meet you this weekend! I'll be the crazy lady with the screaming banshee mask. :-D
ReplyDeleteEasy come, easy go: tax refunds, televisions, teeth ... Some weeks, it's the same song, just a different verse. Hope you get to recharge this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what chromosome the electronics thing comes down on?
ReplyDeleteHave fun this weekend. Wish I could be there
Have a fabulous weekend and I can't wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeleteThat TV thing would have made me mad! At least you have a cool view now, though.
ReplyDeleteGetting kicked in the teeth would have made me mad too! Actually, I think that very thing happened to me! This is a great age for testing limits and pushing buttons.
Have fun at the boot camp!
My babe is getting to that point where she's scratching and kicking. I SOOOO need to count to ten and breathe . SO HARD! Toddler years are rough! They are so darn adorable and such hellions all at once.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about the Boot Camp! Wish I could be there.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the boot camp!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is forever begging me to let him buy a new TV... to replace our 36 inch tube television. I tell him he's welcome to buy a new one, but whatever amount he spends on it, I am also going to go spend on things for myself. This has kept him in check so far.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome was the Bloggy Bootcamp?
Dying to know how the Boot Camp went...keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteholy smokes, someone flashed me thier lights too because of a speedtrap, i think it was Thursday too. That is stuff I remember doing in High School LOL
ReplyDeleteYeah, the power of those little feet can be breathtaking, and not in a good way.
