Back From The Edge (again)

Thank you all for indulging my self-pity party yesterday. Last night I took a full dose of Sudafed PM, went to bed at 8 and then slept ALL night. I woke up twice, once to go to the bathroom, because I can't go all night without peeing anymore (sigh), and another time when Sophie was moving around at about 4:30. I did NOT get up then. Evidently she went back to sleep because I didn't hear her again until her normal time of 6:30. I feel much better. In a lot of ways. Which is a very good thing, because I have to get a cavity filled today and if I'd still been all whacked out, that might have been really ugly.

On another note, just one more day until Twilight comes out. I'm so curious to see what they've done with the book. I will not be attending a midnight showing tonight, but I plan to see it this weekend. Me and a million brazillion other people.

Can I just say: what the heck is up with Robert Pattinson's hair. He's on the Today show right now. He doesn't look stylishly mussed, he just looks disheveled and dirty. He's a goodlooking guy and I'm sure this is a calculated look, so what is the intended effect? Is he trying to make himself look bad? I'm sorry folks, I don't get it. Let the hate mail ensue.

  1. I'm glad you're feeling a little better--it's awful when you are sick and all you need is sleep, but CAN'T get it (luckily you got some!)

I can't go all night w/o getting up to pee either! Doesn't that suck?!

  2. Glad you're feeling happier today!!! Twilight will cheer you up even more this weekend. My 15 year old is going to see it at midnight with some friends. Do you think they'd mind if I tagged along...I know it's not cool...but I really don't want to wait until Sun...my next free time!!!

  3. I saw him this morning and I don't think he looked dirty - just strange. Bedhead is one thing but weird, crazy hair? It didn't look nice. I am going to see Twilight too but probably not this weekend.

  6. I am so glad that you got some sleep. I am thinking of doing that myself tonight. But I don't know if I can handle 10 hours of sleep, my body might revolt.

  7. Glad you slept!

The fact that you are excited for the Twilight movie seals the deal for me: I have to read the book. I bought it weeks ago and am planning to read and blog about it soon!

  8. Am I the ONLY woman who's panties are still dry even after reading two of these books???

I mean, they were good. Imaginary and very interesting BUT ... wtf? I wouldn't imagine the phenom it has become. Not in a million brazzilian years.

  9. Uh... why did Maternal Mirth have to go there? Ewwww....

Yeah, I agree. His hair is looking pretty wonky. Probably to turn off some of his fans so they'll leave him alone. Turns me off! ;)

  10. I've got what you have/had. I have to be careful with sudafed and other cold products due to it's effect on my bladder. :o(

My nose reminds me of Rudolph. A very SORE rudolph. But anyhow, duh, I wanted to say glad you're feeling more chipper! Hopefully you'll be in full swing for Twilight! My daughter (veryyyy mad that I won't let her see the midnight showing) is going Friday after school.

She's so excited I swear she's gonna bust! Her friend got her a HUGE Edward poster for her room. That's one sexy dude. (says the old lady with the crusty red nose! lol)

  11. One of the Moms in my playgroup today mentioned that her and her oldest are reading the books. She's so hooked that she isn't waiting for her daughter and is speed reading.

I heard them talking about this on the readio...I'll just wait for the movie to come out on dvd. As for books, I can't seem to finish a magazine these days...
