Wednesday Whys*

Why...

Are grocery store receipts so dang long?

Does my daughter not want to sleep later?

Does my daughter think that every vertical surface, including the big screen TV, is a canvas for crayon artwork?

Don't toddler pants have knee/shin pads?

Do I let myself get so irritated by all of the political crap that's going on now? Actually, I'm beyond irritated.

Do I have such a hard time visualizing decorating my house? I feel like my house looks like I'm right out of college. All mis-matchy.

Don't my clothes fit better since I lost 10 pounds?

Do I sometimes get irritated rather than concerned when my daughter cries?

Do I not have more motivation lately to do...anything?

Can't I come up with a real blog post today?

*Is the plural whies?

  5. I love random posts!! I love your zebra legs too!

The dryer shrunk your clothes and you a size zero now. You better get new clothes.....

  6. Those grocery store receipts get me, too. And when they are that long...why is it still impossible to figure out what exactly is on them?

And this is totally a real blog post. A "real" good one :-)

  7. I love reading these. I have no idea what the pleural of Why is. Good question!

I am also in need of a real blog post. I can't seem to do it lately.

  9. Ten pounds! Woo hoo! And I get irritated at all the political crap too so I never watch any of it. I get too wound up about stuff I can do nothing about. And the thing about the knee/shin pads. I really don't know why they don't have them, but dresses should have them too.

  10. The answer to many of these is this: you're HUMAN.

  12. I don't know why, but the knee pad built in to toddler pants is a genius idea!

  15. I've been having a "why, why, why" week too. I was tied-in-knots anxious over stupid stuff all day yesterday.

At least you've managed to write a post, more than I can say!

  17. I don't know what the plural is but I completely understand where you are coming from. On a completely unrelated note, have I told you how much I look forward to meeting you at BlogHer? I can't wait!

  18. doesn't it seem logical that I should be able to be happy as much as certain others I won't name?

  19. I like "whys"...it just seems wiser. ;)

I'm totally with you on the first one...believe it or not, I DON'T want to take your survey and don't really care how much I saved over your ridiculously high original prices!

  20. Ahhh, I feel your pain. And I've always wondered that about toddler pants. How dumb. Then again, they wouldn't sell as many now would they?

Don't fret, things will look up in about....well, eventually. lol

  21. I could have written every word of this. Except the 10 pounds part.

    Sigh...

  22. Regarding number one - I just had to review a whole bunch of receipts for work that showed food purchases. Instead of listing 10 cans of green beans, the stores list the individual cans of beans, followed by "You saved 9 cents!" under each one. For pages and pages and pages and pages of canned goods and sausage rolls and macaroni and cheese. It was mind numbing.
