Note To Self
Application of self-tanner is really more art than science. These sorts of things should probably either be left to the professionals. Or avoided. Unless you don't mind looking like a zebra.*
*It actually looks much worse than this in natural light. Hard to believe, I know, but in real light the stripes are MUCH more pronounced. I would show you a picture, but since I'm not leaving the house in anything less than full length trousers until this fades, you'll just have to take my word for it.

That's why I haven't used self-tanner in years, LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh my.
ReplyDeleteI hate self tanner. Im about to go out and get some this week because we are going to the beach the next week. I was planning to use the Jergens moisturizer type. But, maybe I should ask first, what should I not use?
ReplyDeleteI knew there was a reason I never used that stuff.
ReplyDeleteI like to make it look like perhaps I laid UNDER the lounger and thus explains the tan lines.....
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried 'em in about 23 years. I thought surely they improved since then.
ReplyDeleteOops.
ReplyDeleteBrings me back to highschool :-)
Oh my....
ReplyDeleteOn the plus side? You have pretty feet. :)
I've never tried self tanner and I don't lie out in the sun anymore. I do miss looking tan and "healthy" and plan to get myself an airbrush tan the next time I have a special event.
ReplyDeleteNice feet and legs.
Maybe you will start a new trend???
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to get a good application, sigh. I haven't used a tanner in years. I think some brands might be easier to blend than others, but then you still have to deal with how the stuff rubs off and that's gross.
ReplyDeletehee hee - I just bought a bottle of spray for my white WHITE legs!
ReplyDeleteI think they make that stuff to laugh at us when we use it tell me one person who can actually get it on there body with out a streek! LOL
ReplyDeleteYup, tried that once. (ONCE) lol.
ReplyDeleteLot's of soap on a washcloth should tone it down.
But your toes are pretty!
I used self tanner way back in high school. I have been much too scared to try it again. I had many a zebra stripe. Or a very muddy looking knee. And ankle.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that maybe the technology had gotten better. Now, I see that it has not :-)
OMG! It is so true. I've been burned by the self tanner, too. Did you wash your hands after?
ReplyDeleteI forgot. One time.
Ugh.
this happened to me many years ago and needless to say, I go the pale route now
ReplyDeleteSigh...
ReplyDeleteL'OREAL SUBLIME GlOW...gradual self tanner. The lotion kind--that "gradually builds." it's foolproof. Seriously. Been using it for years.
I'd never steer you wrong, ya know?
OMG-yeah, I've done the same thing! I gave up on self tanner!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of self tanner--but I have not mastered the art of applying it either!!
ReplyDeleteYikes! The only way I've mastered self tanning is buying the kind that builds up over a few days or the spray kind (but that makes a mess)
ReplyDeleteLet me just thank you for the laugh, though. I've done worse. Trust me. (and some lemon juice, sugar and a loofah can help.)
I hope that it looks better by now. It doesn't really look too bad in the photo. Seriously.
