Mine are fascinated with the toilet too. They stop to say "pah, pah" (potty) every time they see one. We are almost 21 months and are still only fascinated with all the sounds and spirals. We got them a toy toilet that sings and whatnot. They love playing with it, but no real pretend toileting yet.
My niece started at 18 months, because she was just there with that. So it can happen.
Mady also loves the toilet. AND TOILET PAPER. She rolls it out into the hallway every morning. You'd think I'd remember and move the paper out of her reach...but no, I like to clean it up too much.
Mady has a potty that I put right next to the toilet. Sometimes she watches me and sits down on it to imitate me...but as of late, she has her baby doll sitting in it. I think she "gets" it but isn't quite ready yet. I've heard that if you can do it by 2, it's wonderful.
mine likes to play with it too but that does ot mean he wants to sit on it to go... LOL still wishign he wouils use it but I hear boys are harder O-well
They say girls start early.
ReplyDeleteWith an almost 3 year old still in diapers, I hope for you this is true.
Oh Man! If she starts going potty, I'm shipping Jackson to you for lessons!
ReplyDeleteGet her her own potty, quick! Even if she's just sitting / climbing / playing on it, it'll get her used to (read: not SCARED of) it!!
ReplyDeleteHey, maybe she's 'on to something!' OR, maybe she's just looking for a place to hide some toys! (better have the plumbers # handy!)

At least she's not afraid of it, right?

ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteIt means your going to loose your keys, remotes, small animals and THEN, your crapper won't work.
It's not a coincedence.
With Phu, I had my brother (the plumber) on speed dial.
Probably not ... but one can dream, right?
ReplyDeleteOne can always hope...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't hold your breath (not that I mean to be discouraging) but I'm all for building up positive feelings about the potty!
ReplyDeleteLove your bathroom tile!
Hate to tell you this...but yeah, probably not. 'Cause Caroline's three and yeah...we're just not going to go there. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteLet me know how this turns out, because my cat really likes the toilet too.
