Come Back Tomorrow

Sorry, I don't have anything today. It might be because I got to sleep through the night for the first time in two months! So this is what (mostly) well rested feels like. Ahhh. Not to worry, Sophie has turned into the nightmare version of my child, so I'll be back later with tales of her misadventures.

I'll leave you with a photo I snapped the other day while Sophie and I were out enjoying the weather. It took me about 20 pictures to get one that showed this beauty clearly. It's hardly fit for National Geographic, but this amateur is pretty happy with it. This giant bumblebee has taken up residence at the corner of our house. It just hovers in this spot all day. Staring at the wall.

Maybe she has a baby bee back at the hive that doesn't sleep through the night.

    I swear those bumble bees get bigger an bigger every year. They are getting quite huge! they are starting to terrify me!

    If I were a bumble bee who had a baby bee who never slept, I'd hover and stare at the wall too =)

    But since I'm not, if I saw a bee hovering and staring at a wall, I'd scream and run. So you get points for bravery for whipping out your camera!

    I hate bees. Actually I don't hate them, I'm afraid of them. lol. But that's an awesome pic - in flight too! Can even see the wing detail! Cool!

    Yay for sleep! And that is a great shot of the bee. I have bees that look similar - but they are carpenter bees. Just be careful because they eat wood. I have the exterminator coming to rid my house of the slew of them that keep me from enjoying the outdoors!
