Just in the last couple of weeks, Sophie has developed a love affair with her shoes. Where before it was pulling teeth to get her to keep them on, now she won't be without them. She carries them around. She puts them on, takes them off and puts them on again. She delights in stomping around in them. I think it's safe to say it veers into the range of obsession. (She is her mother's daughter.)
This affection extends to a pair of her slippers. She discovered these the other day among the piles of shoes and wears them all the time. Even to sleep. On the floor.
What kind of mother would I be if I didn't take a picture of that cuteness?

She is so adorable! I love her little slippers. And can't wait to see your shoes.
ReplyDeleteYou've got to love them asleep on the floor! I also like that it is warm enough to run around in a onesie, but not so warm that she can go without her slippers!
ReplyDeleteomg, the Cuteness <3 <3
ReplyDeleteso funny that she's in her slippers. So far Maia kicks off her shoes whenever I put them on... hmph!
That is getting pretty talanted too, to be able to keep those type of flip flop slippers on (especially while sleeping!) She is a girl;)
ReplyDeleteKatie's first word was "shoe." I think that says it all!
ReplyDeleteThat's some slipper-sleepin' cuteness, right there!
ReplyDeleteMuch to Shane's dismay, our girls share my love of shoes.
what is it with kids and wanting to sleep on the floor? One of mine is always sleeping on the floor too. I just dont' get it.
ReplyDeleteAwww, that is the cutest! In my house, I think Ryan's working on his own shoe obsession. I tend to kick off my heels the second I walk in the door, and he points to my feet and says, "Mama, SHOES!" As in, put some on, NOW!
ReplyDeleteBut to answer your question, yes, as a mother you are obligated to capture such moments with the camera---and share them with us!
wait till she get some cowgilr boots not sure what it is about them byt everychild loves them girl or boy!
ReplyDeleteOh, cuteness overload!
ReplyDeleteBabies in onesies are delicious.
ReplyDeleteEspecially with little pink slippers on their feet.
How could you NOT run and grab the camera?
Ahhh adorable-ness! How sweet is she... melt your heart!
ReplyDeleteIt's so dear isn't it what draws them in?
ReplyDeleteKnowing how busy she is when she's awake, the pictures of her asleep are that much more endeering. You can just see how much her body just needs to stop at the end of the day.
So cute.
That is so cute!!! What is it about girls and shoes??? Never could keep shoes on my boys but never could get them off my girl!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's hysterical how kids just fall asleep anywhere. It's almost like they just 'drop'...in place. lol SO funny.
ReplyDeleteMy kids all had an obsession with shoes around Sophies age. The most remembered was my son. He walked around with ONE of his sisters black patent leather shoes on for months. Shane was worried, but he turned out fine. :) lol
I can't believe she just fell asleep like that! That's hilarious. My daughter loves her shoes too. As did I when I was her age.
ReplyDeleteThat is my FAVORITE Sophie picture ever.
ReplyDeleteSo CUTE!! :)
ReplyDeleteNo one give Bean or Peanut a credit card in Shoe Warehouse!
ReplyDeletePickle is the SAME way about shoes--obsessed! She insists on wearing them to bed--I don't get it, but whatever works!
