Splish Splash

It's been sitting in it's box on the dining table for over a week now. The weather and our poor little darling's health conspired to keep us from it, but finally I was able to break it out of it's cardboard prison. The instructions were anything but helpful, not much in the way of how-to. After a couple of minutes, smart cookie that I am, I finally figured it out (Step 1: attach hose. Step 2: use pool. Yep, I'm a Mensa candidate.) and we were ready for an afternoon of splishing and splashing in the Sprinkle Pool.

She loved it and I loved watching her enjoy herself. Win-win.

PS - Since I thought I might be getting wet, too, I put on a swimsuit for our water play. It was the first time this year. You know how I mentioned that I had lost about 10 pounds but most of my clothes were still fitting pretty much the same? Well, I figured out where I lost the weight. My swimsuit was snug on bottom and gappy on top. Exactly the look that hot moms everywhere are going for: weeble wobble.

  8. That looks like fun! I got Axel a sand and water table, but have yet to get him a kiddie pool. I just might have to, based on the total delight on Sophie's face in that picture.

  15. Where the heck have I been that I've never seen one of these sprinkle pools before? Where did you get it? I want my Little Bit to have one.

I ordered some swim separates for the summer. The bottoms are a skirt and a pair of shorts -- have to contain/hide that wobble.

  20. Glad the little stinker was able to enjoy her pool.

I just went out yesterday and bought a slip 'n slide for my girls. They've never been on one... is that not sad?! I'm a horrible mother.

  21. LOVE the sprinkle pool. We have something that sprays out of a ball, but it looks a little like I'm going to get way more wet than I like to in the front yard, so haven't broken it out yet.
Love the Bean's swimsuit: N. has the same!

  23. haha, i know how you feel! when i lost weight people kept telling me my face looked thinner, and nice as that is, it was not the area of my body i was most interested in reducing. now i see what they mean though - you really look great in the pics in your recent posts. your face looks thinner, and it is a good look:)
