Bathtime
While we bathed the Bean the other night, I couldn't resist pinching her abso-freaking-lutely adorable little butt. Like five times. I said to Neil, who sat beside me as we leaned over the tub, that I was powerless to resist. Her little cheeks were just too cute. Then I laughed as I mused that her entire butt* wouldn't even begin to equal just one cheek of mine. Neil smiled when I said this and responded "her butt may be a pinch, but yours? Is a grab." And then he did.
Reason #459 why I love my husband: He still takes schoolboy delight in grabbing/groping/slapping/eyeballing his wife's caboose.
*Have I mentioned that she is a VERY small child.

Does she just love her bath? Mine think it's the best thing they do all day. And she's so good with the camera!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post! I'm in awe over that blue thing...are those steps?
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you, since I've had my kids...the products they make are incredible! How neat!
And man, Sophie has got to be the most photogenic baby I've EVER seen!
Good boy.
ReplyDeleteMerecat - She absolutely LOVES bathtime. She would stay in there all night if I let her.
ReplyDeleteSheila - Those are pads to cushion my elbows and knees as I lean in wash her. Another reason I love my husband: he lets me have the pads.
I sit on the toddler potty (lid down) while I orchestrate the baths. And speaking of toddler potties, when the Bub wears "big boy underwear," his butt looks so darn cute in them that I can't help smiling as he runs around the house in his underwear and don't get mad when he pees in them (as he always eventually does).
ReplyDeleteNeil and Scott are so BFFs. 'Cause my husband cops feels every single day...in public, when he thinks no one is looking. In front of our girls, when he hopes they're looking. In church, when everyone is praying...when he's supposed to be praying. He grabs boobs and butt cheeks all the time. I kind of love him a lot for it, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sophie in the tub is killing me. As is the black tile in there...FABULOUS, Cara.
your tub/tiles are the exact replica of what we had in our master bath before it was re-done. i wonder if our homes were built around the same time? (1930)
ReplyDeleteThat's great. =)
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! My husband is the same way...sometimes I get annoyed b/c I think that's all he thinks about, but then I'm like--don't be STUPID! At least it's you he's interested in doing that to!
ReplyDeleteCute pics! :)
Those are the kind of moments that make me smile later when I recall them. Good husbands, they know its the little sweet things that matter.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good hubby! Mine is the same way, even though he gets a big eye-roll from me when he does it, I'm still glad he DOES do it!
ReplyDeletethat is awesome and totally something that my hubby would say.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo and how nice of hubs!
ReplyDeleteVery cute story and she looks adorable enjoying her bath!
ReplyDeleteMy husband told me a story first told to him from a co-worker of his...one that I think of every time I see my baby's butt cheeks. The co-worker said she couldn't resist "pinching and squeezing" her little boy's butt cheeks, and apparently told him so. One night after bath time he streaked the house...butt naked, and paused in front of his mommy saying, "Pinch them and squeeze them, Mommy!" Dear Husband and I still giggle about it when tweaking those adorable little baby cheeks!
ReplyDeleteYour hubby sounds like mine! And I can't resist pinching my kids' butts either. Kind of annoys my almost 9 year old son now. :)
ReplyDeleteMy ex would never attempt to grab any part of me... in public or in private... and I hated it... I felt unwanted...
ReplyDeleteMr. B... TOTAL grabber... and I LOVE IT!!!
And I pinch The ladies' tooshies all the time. We call it "pinching the biscuits"
Baby tooshies are God's way of saying "See? A butt can be cute!"
